What is Rainbow Quartz Pre Mix? It is a blend of the finest quality graded Quartz sands, Metallic Oxides, Coloured Aggregates and Additives.
Why is cement not included in Rainbow Quartz Pre Mix? To ensure an unlimited shelf life we do not add cement to the mix at the factory, other products with cement added have a limited shelf life of between four and six months as Cement tends to go lumpy if it gets slightly damp, and this may spoil your pool plaster. We can supply bags of fresh high quality white cement with each plaster order if required. What is the difference between Rainbow Quartz Pre Mix and mixed/ blended on site plaster? The old method of mixing/blending on site when it was just sand and cement has served the industry well over the years, but with the advent of coloured plasters mixing/blending has become a complex operation, it is a bit like mixing a cake if you make one mistake and leave out one ingredient or get the quantities wrong by the time you find out it is too late and you could end up with a streaky or patchy pool, so mixing/blending on site of coloured plasters is not an option any more.
